DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two): (1) England, J. R. Laing, Glasgow, 8 day, time and strike spring fusee brass movement bracket clock. c1900 (2) German, Winterhalder & Hofmeier, 8 day, time and strike spring brass movement bracket clock. Dial is signed "A.W. Pridham", Manchester (England). c1900
CONDITION:
(1) Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in original finish has a shrinkage crack at the base and cracks at the top curved molding. There is some damage at the rear access door. Original dial has turned dark with surface scratches and loss. Original hands. (2) Refinished oak case has some roughness just above the door and the right upper corner. The chapter ring has lost much of the silver wash. Original hands and pendulum. Movement strikes on two gongs and is signed.
